Embarring question about pubic hair for other women please?

My family is from Armenia originally but I have lived in the U.S. for many years now. I am 19 and have never shaved my pubic hairs off but I think that is common practice here. I don't really want to but I think I may have a big bush as my friend calls them, lol, and I just want to see if there are other women my age who are not shaving and if the amount I have is way more than most. I know Armenians tend to be hairier but I don't know if what I have looks weird or would scare people off...any advice / help?
