Has anybody else ever noticed that Gene Simmons stutters on "Calling Dr. Love?" Is there a story behind this?

In the second verse, he sings it like "You'll let me through, there's nothing you can do-di-doe." Alive II was my first KISS album and I remember when I was getting ready to listen to the studio version of the song, I thought I would discover what he was really singing. Lo and behold, it was really the way he sang it!
