Help with organizing an essay about freedom in South during Reconstruction?

I need help organizing a 3 page paper regarding how did the white Northerners, white Southerners, and African Americans define the concept of freedom during the era of Reconstruction. Anyone have any suggestions on how to organize it (what each paragraph should be about)?
