Do you think parents should control your life?

I think that parents shouldn't necessarily control their children's lives, but they do have some say in a lot of things. If it's for your benefit because either the child is too young to understand or is just unwilling or misbehaving, the parents have a right to do what is best. But they don't have a right to control everything you do. A child knows enough to do many things on their own, and as they get older, they know more and can be more independent. If a child is doing something a parent doesn't like or isn't good for them, if they child is at and age to understand the repercussions or consequences of their actions, then the parents shouldn't interfere. If the child is too young though, then the parent has a right to in order to protect and teach their child. Parents don't have a right to physically harm their children because they are angry at them, because abuse is abuse no matter what. Abuse doesn't help any situation, but just worsens is and builds up hate in the child. That's the basics about what I think. Hope this helped! :D
